HEAVY TIGER

Heavy Tiger is a three piece band from Stoclholm, Sweden. The leader of this three tigers is Maja Linn, guitarslinger & singer, a killer R'n'R teenage fan. She founded the ban in 2010 with drummer Astrid Carsbring and Sara Frendin on bass.They have played a lot of shows all over Scandinavia and some in the UK. With their hard rockin'style, they remind the Runaways but also Thin Lizzy, New-York Dolls ot the late Pandoras.

Ghost Highway just release this killer EP for their december tour in Spain. Two originals including my coolest song of the month "Seven Days Fool" and two covers  "No One Told Him" from Thin Lizzy and "Superstar" from the swedish glam band The Ark (not my cup of tea but these cover really rocks!!). S'agirait-il de panthères des neiges, en tout cas les félines de Heavy Tiger viennent de Suéde et ont les crocs bien acérés. Formé en 2010 autour de Maja Linn, la chanteuse-guiratiste, Sara, la bassiste et Astrid la batteuse, le gang s'est fait une solide réputation sur scène en tournant en Scandinavie et en Angleterre. On pense forécement aux Runaways avec leur power-pop très musclée souvent proche du hard-rock seventies mais on peut aussi citer Thin-Lyizzy, ACDC ou les groupe de Detroit.pour fêter leur tournée espagnole de décembre, Ghost Highway a eu la bonne idée de sortir ce superbe EP 4 titres regroupant deux originaux dont l'excellent "Seven Days Fool", ma chanson préférée du moment, et de reprise "No one told him" de Thin Lizzy et plus étonnament "Superstar" des glam suédois de The Ark qu'elles arrivent à métamorphoser en une superbe chanson glitter !!
